You spin me right round baby...

I've been feeling like I just stepped off a rollercoaster all day.

You know the feeling, that one where you are a little light-headed and dizzy, not quite with it. Everything feels a little disconnected.

Not condusive to a productive working day, let me tell you. Hopefully a bike ride later will blast out the old cobwebs, you never know. It has been raining all day, damnit!

Sorry I've not been posting much recently, but atm my days rather blur into one, rather dull, mess. Nothing special has happened and, even though its my birthday this weekend, I have no expectations of anything special happening then either.

The most interesting thing I've been doing is actually organising my music collection via iTunes. Getting artists, songs, and albums named correctly. Adding album art, that sort of thing. I'm most of the way through it, which is nice. But.. yeah, not thrilling.

See? This entry is dull too! Bah.. this is why I don't post atm. What to do to make it interesting... umm..

iTunes is good with organising music, when everything is correctly labeled it's a cinch to find what you're looking for. Unfortunately if you've got a few gigs worth of downloaded music that you refuse to stick in your library until you have enough time to label and organise it nice, then you've got your work cut out. Like me.

I just imported it and then went through iTunes renaming and labeling the files. Doesn't take any longer, in fact its easier.

One convention that you need to do tho is when a song features an artist DON'T put "Artist A and Artist B" in the artist field put it as artist A, but in the song title put Title (feat. Artist B) otherwise it lists the artists wierdly.

Yeah I know, remember I've had iTunes for years - being a Mac user.

Oh yeah! I really wish there was some way to make it change the way it names files tho... I want it to be [Track Number] [Artist] - [Track Title] but its stuck on [Number] [Title]..

any suggestions? Or is it annoyingly non-configurable?

That, alas, is non-configurable - yet. I wouldn't be surprised if it was added in a later release, Apple listen to their customers and I've found many features and options I've wanted delivered by Apple sooner or later.
