Those are wonderful pictures! I would love to visit there someday. I've always wanted to. Now if I could just convince hubby...

WOW!
i love those pics!
ok so you guys have a building that is (jokingly i assume) named after a pickle? and it glows! cool :D
i really like your digitally aged Globe Theater :)
and Neals Yard looks kinda of like Diagon Alley from Harry Potter! (you've probably heard that a ton from us rabid yank fans of HP eh? lol)

Re:
hehe.. well its been nicknamed the gerkin, because of the shape. Its actually called the Swiss Tower I think (its also not 100% completed, hence the cranes). Its lit up at night.. very pretty.

EVERY back street in london looks like Diagon Alley to Americans ;)

Re:
lol, i figured it was like that the Diagon Alley comment would seem like that. :) its probably because we don't have such colorful and inviting back alleys here. if we have any at all.

Re:
thats a shame.. I bet you HAVe the alleys, just not painted them up like that ;)

Re:
i suppose in places like NYC and San Fransisco there are some alleys like that, but generally speaking they arn't fixed up or you don't want to go down them past sundown.
it seems to be a facet of the US's general disinterest in anything old or historical. they would rather tear something down and rebuild a new building than preserve the old structure and fix it up. it all really sad actually.

They work fast! That new building has more done to it than it did when I was there. It's an interesting building. What's it going to be?

Re:
Business offices I think. Nothing spectuacular, but the building is a marvel of modern design aparently. Loads of new stuff being tried in it.
