Changing attitutudes....


Pain and pleasure together...


Ok. I've decided to make a promise to myself. I'm going to lose 2 stone (28 pounds/13.6kg) by christmas.

I've got a gut. Not a huge one, but a gut. I need to lose weight, therefore I have A Plan(tm).

This is my plan:

- No alcohol at all until Christmas.
- As little red meat as posible.
- No fast food at all.
- Drink more water.
- Continue with Ju-Jitsu.
- Workout in the morning.
This will consist of:
- 50 crunches
- 25 lateral crunches (each side)
- 10 push ups (I really suck at these)
- Riding to work and back (3 miles most days)

This I hope will help me tone up, increase my fitness, and just generally lose wieght. It's not like I'm hugely overwieght.. but I am fat.. therefore lets fix that shall we?

Good luck on losing weight. Although I think you do not need to. *rolls eyes* Those little restrictions do sound reasonable. *smiles*

But I'm not doing it for some wierd body image thing.. I just want to be fitter and healthier.

I'm at 35 crunches a day, working to 50. Since I started taking care of myself 2 years ago, I have lost 38 pounds. I've only been doing the situps/crunches since January. We can egg each other on.

oooh good idea!

See the thing is.. I weigh a lot.. but also I'm bloody big anyhow. I'm 6'3" tall, and unlike most tall ppl I'm in proportaion, I've broad shoulders and a big chest.. so I'll always be heavy, the real thing I need to do is get fit :)

Definiatly a good idea that though :D

Got it. I only need to lose about 20 pounds more. I don't think that I am fat, but I do think I'm ... soft. Softer than a girl should be; how's that? I'm mostly after fitness myself. Anyway, we should start a fitness community to which we can post our fitness goal actions/results.

and your plan sounds good. now i have never seen you so i don't know if you really need to loose weight or not but the plan seems nice and i think it should work :o)

And I do need to lose wieght. The main thing I'm concentrating on though is losing it through excersise. I know so many ppl that are thin and really really unhealthy/unfit.

yes i know what you mean. my sister is a personal trainer. i can ask her for some tips if you want? about exersise you can do at your own house or something. swimming is really good, good for all muscles..

My dr. told me on last monday that I have to lose 15 lbs. So, I am trying to curb what I eat, no more sodas, the occassional iced tea (but no sugar only one artificial sweetner), excercise more (to include only taking the stairs at work, I am on the 4th floor, and to lay off the sweets (only chocolate once a week. I have been doing ok except for the exercising more. I wish you much luck and give you lots of U.S. encouragement.

My average body weight should be 105-110 lbs., I am 122 lbs. right now..hence 15 lbs. to lose. (I am 5ft tall)

thanks...good luck to you. I am on a slow start but working on having it off (and more toned) for hubby's 10 year class reunion next spring. Looking to have 10 lbs gone by xmas.

you shouldn't find it too hard. Depends on what you do to get rid of it. Remember muscle weighs more than fat, so don't be too discouraged if you reach a plateu
